CRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to Young Sudden Cardiac Death (YSCD); Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS); SADS.

Mark,

Thought I would drop you an email with regards to Lewis’s Memorial Ride yesterday.
Considering this was the first time you had organised this event I think it went down very well and I think you ended up with a lot more riders than you expected!

I do hope you will do the same next year as I think you have got a winner there and a good foundation to work off. As I was riding round the course yesterday at a pace that was fast for me! I was chatting to a few people and you had riders from far and wide, not just local like myself that only had to cycle 5 miles to get to the start.

My son went to Garforth College and knew Lewis, but not as a main friend. Not till I got back yesterday did he realise where I had been and sends his regards to you all.

Thanks again for organising this ride & hope it is the first of many sportive rides, to remember Lewis,

Dear Mark and Carol,

We thought yesterday was absolutely fantastic. The ride was superb for all the right reasons– really lovely scenery, quiet narrow roads, and ample opportunity to reflect on the moment and think of Lewis pounding out his miles on his training route.

It was a fine tribute. We hope you thought so too and perhaps were able to catch something of his spirit. We are so proud to have taken part in it.
